Anne Woodward Artist

Though our environment is filled with three-dimensional objects, my world formulates in exaggerated textures and explosions of color and all is set in motion or movement. Within I have much unshared, even trapped, passion and emotion which is combined with my colorful, textual world. Using any object, substance, and manipulative tools available, I transfer these entities to my canvases in the form of mixed-media. The one artist who has had the greatest influence in finding a sense of liberation within my heavily structured world is that of Jackson Pollack. That liberation is what I celebrate on canvas.
